Photoshop Elements 101

I thought I'd play around with Elements today and make a new logo that I had on my MySpace profile that linked to where I have my photography at deviantART.com. The other one I was using was just too damn ugly.

I knew there was a way for me to use the cookie cutter function and leave the rest of the cut out background transparent. My problem was I was just being too lazy to figure it out. Well today I finally figured it out. It was so damn easy that I should be slapped. It's amazing how there is that little Help function actually works!

It's not the best of logos, but hey, I was experimenting. What the hell more do you want from me!? Now that I partially know what the hell I am doing, I might experiment even more and see what I can come up with. Might being the keyword here... It'll get done one of these days, eventually.

Love Thy Neighbor

After such a georgous day yesterday the sky opened up and cried all through the evening and night. Figured I'd take some more pictures since I really didn't have anything to do. Since I pretty much ran out of things to shoot in my backyard I decided to take pictures of my neighbors flowers. Well, they say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, eh.

On these pictures I decided to play with them a little in Photoshop. These kinda pop right out ya, don't they.

The Morning After

These were taken this morning in my backyard. This was my pathetic attempt at trying to capture the rain drops that were still clinging to the petals and leaves. I can't wait to get a proper digital camera that actually has macro capabilities.
