Yesterday’s celebrity news was that Lance Bass has finally come out of the closet, announcing that he is gay and in a stable relationship.Stop the presses!

Lance Bass is GAY?? That guy from ‘N Sync, right?
Now that’s a shocker!
But seriously, what is the big deal? Why did he wait until now to come out of the closet? He told People magazine that he didn't earlier disclose his sexuality because he didn't want to affect the group's popularity.
“I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything,” says Lance.
Hello, a popular BOY band! Did he really think that there hadn’t already been talk amongst the masses wonder who was gay and who wasn’t? ‘N Sync and the Backstreet Boys were all fodder in the ‘Who do you think is gay?” game. I highly doubt that his ‘coming out’ would have affected the group’s popularity had he come out then.
I’m sure the gay community is embracing their newest celebrity member, but really… Do you really think anyone cares about Lance coming out of the closet?
Really. Who cares? Okay, so the ones who would care are all the small minded people who think that it's wrong and a sin. Like their small underdeveloped minds and opinions matter, at all. They don’t count, so that group is null and void of having anything worth while to say on the matter.
I'm still holding out for Justin to rejoice and embrace his true sexuality, and come hauling ass out of that closet.
I am sure the entire gay community is feelin' me on this one.
