I had one of those quickie Reno weddings. The night before my ex actually went to work. He worked the late night shift, and we were all waiting for him to get home. I think it was like 3 o’clock in the morning that we headed to Reno. It was me, the ex, my mom, baby brother, and Grammy. His mom and step-father were meeting us up there. Yeah, it wasn’t a big to-do.
The night before though, as it was getting closer and closer to my ex coming home, I was getting the what-in-the-hell-am-I-doing, I-don’t-want-to-do-this wedding jitters. Of course, I didn’t convey any of these feelings to anyone. I pretty much kept them to myself. I just figured I was having feelings that every bride or groom feels as the time of the impending is fast approaching. Looking back in retrospect, I had those feeling for a reason; only I didn’t see them for what they were at the time.
So there you have it folks. Me in my wedding picture sporting a blonde streak. I ended the decade true to the times of what the ‘80s were all about. At least I didn’t get married in some kind of wild animal print. Now that my friends, would have been truly priceless!
