Well, my car finally decided to get back at me for talking shit about it earlier today. I left work and got down to the end of the block when my car decided that it didn't want to go any faster than 5 miles an hour, if that. I got a few blocks away then had to pull over and call AAA. I didn't think that people would appreicate me attempting to drive my car home at 5 miles an hour. Thank gawd for AAA Plus!
It took a half an hour for the damn tow truck driver (who reminded me of my ex-boyfriend Jr. Last person I wanted to be reminded of at that moment!) to get my car hooked up properly on the flat bed. In the middle of him trying to get my car hooked up he proceeds to tell me that his pants keep falling down and that he doesn't know why he can't keep his pants up. I wanted to tell him, "Maybe because you are wearing your pants down around your ass with a belt that is supposed to be used to keep you pants at your waist, not your ass!" But I refrained, being the nice person that I am. Ha!
About an half hour later my car and I finally make it home. Now my poor car is sitting in the front of my house. Well, it was the only place I could think of taking it since most shops are closed until Monday. I called my uncle, he said he'd give me a call tomorrow. He's a mechanic, hopefully he can take a look at it and tell me if its an easy enough fix for him to do it, or at least refer me to a good shop that is not going to ream me.
Now I've got me a Chevy Impala that I just picked up from Budget. It's a little bit more than I wanted to pay for a rental, but what the hell. It's the only time I'm going to get to drive a half way decent car that I can't afford to buy. Compared to my Jetta, it's ni-ice! After driving that around for a few days, it's going to suck driving my poor car. I was looking at the Impala's on-line. Yea, no way in hell I'd be able to buy me one of those anytime soon. It's bad enough that I am dying to upgrade my Jetta for one of the new 2006 Jetta's. Oh yea, they are fucking nice, but also expensive! Hopefully I can get my act together this year and save some money to hopefully be able to afford one next year.
So the lesson that I learned today? Don't talk shit about your car behind its back. It's bad Karma! Or would that be Car-ma?
