Yes, I Am A Deviant And Proud!

I've actually been a little busy.

"Busy doing what?" you ask.

Well, I've had this on-line account at this site that is geared towards artists for what seems like forever now at
deviatART.com. Which in reality has only been since October of last year. The only problem was that I was too damn lazy to actually take the time to post any of my photography in my gallery. I mean, it just takes so much time finding all the pictures, looking to see what is the best, do a little editing in Photo Shop, then finally posting it. Not that I don't like doing it, because I actually like doing that. I'm just the type of person that once I get started, I will stay up way into the wee morning hours if I don't make myself stop and go to bed. Which is great on a Friday or Saturday night, but the week nights kill me.

Yesterday I decided that I am going to take the time to start working on posting all the pictures that I have taken over the years on
my deviantART page. I got home yesterday from work and fired up the old desk top PC. I haven't used that damn thing since I got my lap top really. I mean, why the hell for? It's slow and makes too much noise for me. But, since the majority of all my digital pictures are stored on that computer, it was time to fire the thing up again. While I was at it, I loaded Photo Shop Elements in it. There is no use having my pictures floating all over the place. I've already had to remove all the pictures I had on my lap top and burn them all to CD's. Yeah, I've only had the lap top for a year and already I'm running out of disc space. How the hell that happened I have no idea. I've deleted a lot of crap off of it, including any mp3s I had on it, and I still don't have that much disc space. My lap top is another story though and I am straying off subject here. Yeah, I know I have a tendency of doing that. Deal with it!

Anyway, so I fire up the old desk top and start looking through all my digital picture folders. Holy crap! I've got a lot of fucking folders here! I've taken these many fucking pictures in the past 3-4 years!?! Jeezum Crow! That is a lot of fucking pictures. Seriously. I had no fucking idea. Now what lies ahead of me is the task of going through them all.

What in the hell did I just get myself into!?

You know though, it was fun going through just the few folders that I went through last night. The great thing about pictures is when you look at them; they take you back to that place in time all over again. Yeah. I have a feeling I'm going to be re-visiting a lot of places again this year. Close to home I've got Muir Woods, San Francisco, the Japanese Garden in Hayward, and so many other places.

What I would really like to do this year is take a roundtrip ride on the
Skunk Train from Willits to Fort Bragg. I also want to drive from Willits on highway 20 to Fort Bragg, down highway 1 to Mendocino, then onto highway 128 to Boonville, then onto 253 back into Ukiah. Yeah, that was one helluva drive the one time Wenchy, me, and the kids decided to do it one day. Only we didn't go down 1 to Mendocino, we somehow took a lot of other roads that eventually dropped us onto 128. Now that was one helluva an adventure! That was the first time I'd ever driven through all the redwoods. It was so fucking beautiful and so amazing. I want to go back and do it again because this time I'm probably going to do it alone so I can stop where and when ever and take how ever long I want taking pictures. Then again, maybe having a buddy along would be good for safety reasons. Hell, I dunno yet. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Anyway, if you are interested in taking a look at my photographs you can click on the link that I have provided in the side bar there on the right. Or you can click this link here:
