Testing Out My Camera

I still have no idea what I am doing with this camera. Lately I've just been taking a whole bunch of test pictures in the AF (Auto Focus) mode. I really need to learn how to use the manual functions for the aperture and shutter speed settings. AF comes in handy for some stuff, but I have found with some of the shots of the white flowers that I have taken, the white is coming out too bright. I’m sure there is a way to control the white balance, I’ve just haven’t tried to figure it out yet. Hell, I haven’t really taken the time to really mess with all the settings. I’m so used to being a point and shoot girl, I need to quit being so lazy and learn how to use all the great manual settings I can now control.

So these pictures below are all pictures I’ve taken in the AF mode. Some came out good and a lot didn’t. For the pictures that have the white flowers, I just ended up editing them in photo shop and using the watercolor filter. It made them come out a lot better than how they originally did. I also wanted to test out the polarized filter that I got, so I went out and took some pictures of the sky here in Ukiah. I’ll get the hang of this camera yet!
