Just another week at work...

We have had construction going on here at work for what seems like an eternity. Just last week a few of our departments were finally able to move into the new building that was added on. Now the construction has moved into our main building, remodeling the first floor. Oh what fun! I'm in the main building, smack dab in the middle of all the reconstruction. Let's just say, I'm surprised I was able to get any kind of work done with all the noise and the fumes of paint permeating my brain. By the end of the day I feel a bit pickled.

You might wonder why I have this picture posted here. Well, you see, this door is one of the new ones that goes into the new wing of the building. At the beginning of the week, one of the construction guys walked around and labeled all the doors. So, at the beginning of the week, this door only had one sticky note on it, the middle one, that says PANIC. By the end of the day, the top sticky note joined it. It says DON'T.

So Tuesday, everyone who has had to walk through this door has been advised to 'DON'T PANIC'. By then end of the day Tuesday the bottom sticky note joined the others. It says YET. So we have now been informed to 'DON'T PANIC YET'.

Don't ask me why I found this amusing. It's work. We find the oddest things at work that amuse us. For me, this just happened to be one of them, that two other people here at work were so thoroughly bored that they each added a statement to this door. What I really find amusing is the bottom note was added by our new junior purchaser whos first day here was this Monday. Already, she is fitting in!
