I've lived in the Bay Area of Northern Califronia all my life. This was the first time I had ever been to Muir Woods. A half hours ride at the most! I mean com'mon! It's just on the other side of San Franciso, and how many times have I've gone venturing into The City!? Too many times to count that's for sure
I've neer been to Yosemite either. A 3 hour drive from here. I've been wanting to go. I haven't been camping since I was probably in the 6th grade. I'd love to go camping! I love being outdoors. I'm just very lazy, I'll admit it. I would love to get out more.
As you will come to find through out this entire Blog, I love to take pictures of nature (and cemeteries!). Especially ever since I finally bought my digital camera in 2003. It's only a little Canon Digital Elph 4.0mp, but I love it. It's so small that I can put it in my back pocket when I go hiking. The draw back is that the lens in so small that I can't get a shield for it to help minimize glares from the sun, not from direct sunlight. I'd love to buy me a better digital that I can change the lenses on. I just really can't afford to splurge on that right now. So, for now I'll just have to be happy with what I've got.
