Answers: Video Killed The Radio Star Challenge

Last Friday I posted a little ode to the 80’s called Video Killed the Radio Star Challenge.   It was a poem of sorts that I made almost entirely of songs from the 80’s.  Here are the answers.

Of course the challenge’s title itself was Video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles; is noteworthy because it was the first video shown on MTV, when the channel debuted on August 1, 1981 (at 12:00 AM).

7. million miles away. – The Plimsouls – Was first released in 1981 off of their first full length album which may have been titled A Million Miles Away.  The song actually took off when it was featured in the movie Valley Girl in 1983 and released on the soundtrack.  The Plimsoul’s then released Everywhere At Once in 1983 with a re-recorded version of the song. How’s that for 80’s trivia!
